Stress Resilience is Risk Management!

Experiential Consulting and Responder Alliance are pleased to announce our collaboration to bring stress resilience and management into the outdoor and experiential program risk management world!  

Since 2008, Experiential Consulting has worked with clients to build organizational capacity by supporting the optimization of risk in order to achieve program goals.  By focusing on learning from everyday work and capitalizing on successes, EC has worked with its clients to think of risk management as steering toward success, not just avoiding negative outcomes.  Our focus has been on helping create cultures in which education, structure and supporting the on-the-ground employee are standard tools to set employees, and therefore organizations, up for success.

In a similar vein, Responder Alliance has been leading the charge in helping individuals and organizations recognize that stress is a part of daily work for outdoor professionals, and that it is better to provide education, structure and support before an incident than it is to take care of employees after stress injury occurs.  By developing  stress resilience education and post-incident support tools, organizations increase the capacity of their employees to handle unexpected challenges.

With values and missions that so closely align, it was only a matter of time before these two organizations joined forces!  As of late 2026, EC will now integrate the RA curriculum and course offerings into the services it can provide to clients.  Whether offering standalone RA trainings to employees or working with programs to develop organizational resilience training and post-incident support structure, EC clients can now get the benefit of RA’s evidence-based content and industry-leading support.  

The ability to provide deeper, ongoing support for outdoor and experiential programs while partnering with the subject matter experts at Responder Alliance presents EC with the opportunity to expand our ability to help our clients achieve their missions!
