Risk Management Review - A formal third-party review of your program's risk management strategies and systems. We start by understanding what's working well, and where there may be gaps between what programs think is happening, and what's actually happening. Reviews can be done either on-site, in the field, remotely, or some combination of all three.

Risk Management Self-Assessment - A guided, self-assessment process using our structured self-assessment workbook, along with input and analysis from the Experiential Consulting team. See more about this new offering on this page.

Books - We have written two books, both of which are available on our shop page, that distill lessons learned from outdoor & experiential education and the larger occupational safety management research community.  

 

Training - We offer private cohorts and open-enrollment classes, using our online learning platform, to enhance the learning from our two books.

Policy and Procedure Updates - Help you to revise or create policies and procedures that match your program's goals, staff, activities, environment, and organizational mission.  ​

Incident Reporting Tools - Refine or create a custom methodology / system for you to internally report on incidents and near-misses in a way that optimizes organizational learning and systems improvements.

Custom Staff and Board Training - Custom presentations / activities for staff and board members to explore topics such as risk tolerance, interpreting incident data, critical incident response, learning from near-misses, and other topics as requested.

Incident Response Scenarios - Having clear plans and roles for a critical incident is a sign of a well-run program.  We can help you refine or build a customized critical incident response plan, and practice putting it into place with realistic, appropriately-challenging scenarios.

Custom Risk Management Presentations - We can help your board, staff, or community better understand risk management via custom presentations, built for you and delivered in an engaging, interactive manner.

Expert Witness Testimony - Available to testify in legal proceedings pertaining to outdoor program safety.
